Alex Schecter is an actor, singer, and writer originally from Long Island, NY. Most recently, Alex was seen in the World Premiere of The Picher Project, Off Broadway at Dixon Place. Additional recent theatrical credits include Inside Broadway's My Town: A George M. Musical as George M. Cohan, directed by Marc Tumminelli, The Office Musical (Off-Broadway), and in a workshop presentation of Two Princes at 54 Below.
Recently, Alex wrapped on A24 Film's upcoming comedic thriller, Y2K. Television credits include principal roles in Final Moments (Oxygen/NBC), Dead of Winter (ID Discovery), and Sunny Achers (Pilot Presentation). Alex is the proud co-creator and co-writer of Sunny Achers, a sitcom pilot which is currently in the pitching process.
Additional recent theatrical credits include Will Wilson Saves The World (Off-Broadway at Emerging Artists Theatre), Anne Frank (Off-Broadway at The Center for Jewish History), Brothers Wright (New York Theater Festival), Mame (Bellmore Theatre), and The Wizard of Oz (Argyle Theater).
Alex is a proud graduate of Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Musical Arts. He is represented by Center Stage Management.
